Winter Decor

Настала чудова пора. Католики Різдво вже відсвяткували, а в нас ще все попереду. Нарешті засніжило, прогнози погоди по Львову кажуть, що буде мороз. Мої улюблені блоги переповнені надихаючими картинками, тож пишу і я :).

Українське Різдво – це звичайно більше, ніж шалена гонка за подарунками, гірлянди, святкові інсталяції у вітринах магазинів і поїдання смаколиків. Хоча останнє безперечно є важливою частиною святкування :). Та безліч традицій, донесених до наший днів, робить свята усвідомленими і ще величнішими. Як на мене, одним із завдань сучасних батьків є не розгубити спадок знань і духовності (або його залишок :) ), а передати діткам.

Наше Різдво – це більше, ніж декорації. Та, погодьтеся, святковий настрій не завжди приходить просто за календарем. Часом його треба створити собі самому. Знаю, що для багатьох українських родин ці свята дуже затьмарені. І саме тому розвіятись і подарувати один одному красу і тепло, як мене, зараз є особливо актуально. Тож наш дім починає потрохи наповнюватись зимовими декораціями, і мені вже захотілось поділитись ними з вами.

Коричневий, золотистий, червоний і зелений є, без сумніву, традиційними кольорами для різдвяного декору. Сподіваюсь, наступні фото принесуть вам естетичне задоволення і можливо надихнуть на декорування своїх домівок.

Та мушу почати з цього листа до Миколая, залишеного йому дівчинкою Емілією одного дощового грудневого дня :).

Пам’ятаєте пісеньку з фільму «Love Actually» – “Christmasis all around”? Така смішна переробка «Love is all around», яку виконував герой Біллі Наї . Вона мені якось часто наспівується у ці дні.

Пуансетія має ще назву «Різдвяну зірку», тож як без неї у зимовому інтер’єрі ;). А кава, як кажуть поляки, мусить бути.

Кілька подарунків друзям, запакованих за останніми тенденціями – просто і екологічно.

Віночок. Мій улюблений елемент декору на всі сезони. Цьогорічний зимовий вийшов ось такий:

А це а-ля гірлянда. Шишкова така. Може ще притрусити ті шишешки штучним снігом?

А на останок - дещо зігріваюче. Таке горнятко в домі мусить бути на холодні вечори. Чохол знімається одним рухом.

This is the wonderful season. Catholic Christmas has already passed and we are only looking forward to ours. Finally we have snow, weather forecasts say about frost in Lviv. My favorite blogs are full of inspiring pics, so I’m writing too :).

Ukrainian Christmas is more than crazy shopping, garlands, holiday installations in the windows and specialities eating. However, the last-mentioned is quite important element of the celebration. But variety of traditions, preserved in our days, make holidays more conscious and great. To my mind, one of the tasks of modern parents is not no loose the heritage of knowledge and spirit (or its remains :)) but pass it to the children.    

Our Christmas is more than decorations. But you may agree that holiday mood does not always come according to the calendar. Sometimes you have to create it by yourself. I know that for many Ukrainian families these holidays are very blurred. Therefore I believe that it is peculiarly topical to recreate and give warmth and beauty to each other. So, our home is starting to be filled with winter decorations and I decided to share them with you :).    

Brown, gold, red and green are certainly traditional colors for Christmas décor. I hope the following pictures will bring you esthetic pleasure and maybe they will inspire to decorate your own homes.  

But first I must post this picture of  the letter to Saint Nicholas that was left by a little girl Emilia on a rainy December day :).

Do you remember the song from the movie “Love actually” - “Christmas is all around”? That funny remake of “Love is all around” which was performed by the Billy Naghy’s character. I’m humming its tune these days.

As to pictures:

Poinsettia is also named as “Christmas Star”, so you just can’t do without it in winter interior ;). Coffee, as Polish people say, just must be.

Here are some gifts for friends, decorated according to recent tendencies – simple and ecological.

And the present from friends – handmade decorated Christmas tree ball is awaiting its tree.

The wreath. It’s my favorite element of decoration for all seasons. This year winter wreath look like this.

And this is kind of garland. With cones. Should I put some artificial snow on it?

And in the end – something warming. Such a cup is just a must-have in every home for the cold evenings. The cover can be removed with one sweep.
